PRATO SPILLA TOURIST COMPLEX

The structure, primarily athletic, and mostly a ski area, is situated at 1350 meters above sea level, inside the Appennine Emilian- Tuscan National Park, in a big naturalistic context. The structure, born in the 70s as a ski area, is articulated in buildings with different functions connected with the sporting activities: restaurant-hotel (offering 21 rooms), shelter, the Chair-lift departure station with areas intended for shops, shelters for means of transportation and equipments, apartments for the personnel, ambulatory, the access portico to the park, the transformation electric cabin, besides wooded lands and fields which measure 204 hectars. The station, centre point of the touristics activities at the ridge of the Parmanese Appennine, has been the object of an important project of requalification, which has seen different subjects involved, of which the Appennine-Tosco national park, the Regional park of the Cento Laghi (Hundred lakes), the Appennine Montana Parma est community, Monchio delle Corti district, Central Emilian reclamation consortium and the maniging subjects, allowing the relaunch of the same station, also in a seasonal adjustment perspective.
