FERRARA – AREA TO BE REFURBISHED

The urban renewal project, located in a semi-central area of the city, covers an area of 102,000 m² and includes the construction of buildings with a gross floor area of 40,900 m². It is divided in various building lots: the first lot covers a large area formerly used by the goods yard, and the construction of 17,000 m² for residential use and 7,000 m² for commercial and office use; the second lot is located in an area adjoining the railway junction, and the construction of 2,700 m² of commercial and official buildings; the third lot covers an extended rectangular shaped area along the road between the railway station and the Burana canal, and 14,700 m² of commercial and office buildings. The aim of the project is to requalify the area with new buildings, inserted in the fabric of the city and its old town centre.
